The Mission of Sock for the Homeless is simply to collect and distribute socks to the homeless.

Socks for the Homeless started in 2009 as a community service project in the Indianapolis Area by a social work student seeking a way to give back in the community. 

Socks for the Homeless developed into a way for many people to get involved and impact the lives of others in this small but important way.

THE NEED

·         Clean Socks are an important part of health and good hygiene

·         Clean Socks are a constant need for homeless people, who are mostly on their feet, sleep outdoors and on the streets.

THE IMPACT

·   In February 2010 we delivered over 120 socks to Horizon House Inc., a homeless multi-service day center:

·  In July 2011 we delivered 108 pairs of socks to Outreach Inc., a homeless teen organization.
