The Children's Shelter program operates at the Gene Glick Family Support Center and serves children newborn to 17 years old.   Services are offered on a sliding fee scale.
The length of stay ranges from 1 to 5 days, as needed.
The Children's Shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Who can use the Children’s shelter?
Children who...
  • Have run away
  • Are homeless
  • Are victims of or witness domestic violence
  • Whose parents are experiencing a
    housing crisis
  • Whose parents are experiencing a mental
    or physical crisis (i.e. detoxification)
  • Are at risk of abuse or neglect
Additional services include health education services for children, mentoring programs for parents, and referral resources for parents and children.
